“Run away, just run away” shouted the parents at their 7 year old.
They new that its too late, but seeing the fate of the other villagers they had no other option than to hope. The kid was well aware about the fact so he hid himself in the bushes watching the shadows of his parents in the moonlight as the werewolf approached.
Was it enough?
But hiding was not an option. The kid could only see his parents shadows falling down. Before he could reason it, there was some crisping sound near the bush. And It sneaked it’s face in the bush sniffing the kid.
“Please” – He cried as his voice fell on the not so human ears of the beast. The bright round eyes of the 7 year old, which would raise sympathy in the eyes of any human being, only made its lust to rise. And within a plunge it was eating the last morsel of that kid! The floor was warm with blood, the warmth that was diluting in the coldness of the night. Yes, it was the night responsible for all the chaos. ‘Coz it was a ‘Full Moon Night!’
The first ray of the sun fell upon his eyes, waking him up. He was not much surprised to see the surroundings as he had got used to all that. The bodies of the villagers torn into pieces lied all around him. The ground was all red with human blood. He himself could smell the iron based smell coming from his body, specifically his mouth, which was all covered in blood.
“Not Again” – He thought to himself. He knew that he had caused far more loss of lives, than he expected, the previous night. But he had to leave early before some one notice and suspect him.
“Bir! what is it outside?” – Mary shouted while setting up the breakfast table along with the faithful servant, Bir. She knew her husband would be back any time. It had been 10 years like that. She knew that something was wrong with Sir John, but she loved him too deeply to doubt him.
“Madam, it was a full moon night. The beast killed 22 villagers last night.” replied Bir.
“Oh Lord! your master has not yet arrived.” she addressed in panic.
“Madam, he wants to capture the beast. He is too brave to be a victim. He’ll be here anytime” He praised his master loyally.
“Who’d be here Bir?” a stern yet husky voice came.
Sir John, well dressed in his night robe came downstairs as if he was there the whole night.
“Sir? umm nothing sir. No one.” Bir had no words in his mouth.
“John! where were you? I was so worried the whole night!” Mary said in a worried tone.
He just ignored her and sat for his breakfast. His inner self was already in a great conflict with the beast inside him.
He had been living with the curse for more than a decade by then. And he still had no cure to it!!
Good one. But what next? or this is it?
